Mineral wool also known as Rock wool in chinais an inorganic external thermal insulation material. Rock wool products are made of high-quality basalt, dolomite and other main raw materials after melting at a high temperature above 1450℃. Rock wool products have become internationally recognized as the main energy-saving materials because of their excellent fire protection and thermal insulation characteristics.

1.Fire prevention  

Rock wool raw materials using natural volcanic rock, is non-combustible building materials fire retardant materials.  

2. Thermal insulation  

Rock wool fiber is long and thin, flexible and low content of slag balls.  Thus low thermal conductivity, with excellent thermal insulation effect.  

3. Sound absorption and noise reduction  

Rock wool is an ideal sound insulation material, a large number of long and thin fibers form a porous connection structure, which determines that rock wool is an excellent sound absorption and noise reduction material.  

4.Hydrophobicity  

Hydrophobic rock wool product hydrophobic rate can reach 99.9%;  Very low water absorption, no capillary penetration.  

5.Moisture resistance  

Rock wool in the relative humidity of the environment, the volume moisture absorption rate is less than 0.2%;  According to ASTMC1104 or astm c 1104m test method, the mass moisture absorption rate is less than 0.3%.  

6. No corrosion  

Rock wool chemical properties, PH value of 7-8, neutral or weak alkaline, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other metal materials are not corrosion.  

7. Safety and environmental protection  

Rock wool after testing does not contain asbestos, CFC, HFC, HCFC and other harmful substances to the environment.  Will not be corroded or produce mildew and bacteria.

The construction of rock wool board external insulation system for energy-saving and thermal insulation project shall be carried out in accordance with the reviewed and qualified construction drawing design documents and the approved special construction scheme for energy-saving and thermal insulation of the project.

3. The manufacturer of rock wool board external insulation system shall have professional personnel to provide on-site guidance during construction, and cooperate with the construction unit and on-site supervisor to do a good job in construction quality control.

4. Materials entering the site must pass the acceptance according to the specification, quantity and quality requirements, and shall be kept by a specially assigned person. It is strictly prohibited to stack in the open air. The rock wool board of curtain wall shall be stacked overhead against moisture.
